Almeida Industries is a privately held AI and software company based in Windsor, Ontario. We design and build machine learning infrastructure from first principles — custom CUDA kernels, GPU driver optimizations, training methods, and production language models — developed entirely in-house.
We are currently training two proprietary language models on NVIDIA hardware with our own custom kernel stack. Our work spans foundational AI research, production model training, and applied software development across multiple domains.
Active products and research include proprietary training optimization methods (patent filed), large-scale knowledge graph systems, domain adaptation technology, developer tools, and business software.
Every system we build is designed to be understood at every layer. We do not abstract away complexity to hit a deadline — we resolve it. This means slower initial progress and more durable long-term results.
Research and engineering are not separated here. The people writing training kernels are the same people thinking through the theoretical problems. There is no handoff between science and implementation.
We validate against real-world deployment constraints, not benchmark leaderboards. A system that performs well in our lab must perform well in an underfunded school on commodity hardware.
We are selective about engagements. Every project we take on must align with our research direction or strengthen our core capabilities. We prioritise depth over breadth and long-term partnerships over one-off contracts.
We write our own infrastructure — CUDA kernels, optimizers, data pipelines — because understanding the mechanics is how we produce better results. This is a deliberate choice, not a limitation.
Results are disclosed when ready, protected where appropriate, and shared where it serves the mission. We would rather ship something that works than announce something that doesn’t.
